IgG immunoglobulin comprises of 4 subclasses mainly IgG1 to IgG4 of which 65% component is IgG1. Decreased levels are seen in cases of Hypogammaglobul inemia. Deficiency of IgG1 is seen in patients with severe immunoglobulin deficiency. IgG2 deficiency leads to recurrent infections like Sinusitis, Otitis & Pulmonary infections. This test is specially useful in patients with clinical evidence of Immunodeficiency with normal IgG
